Dontknow where or if this will appear.

Sorry.  Very ignorant and not a little stupid

Hi, Grace worry not you are through now, so welcome to the forum is there anything we can help you with or would you prefer to watch and join in when you are ready.

Tags is just another search option if you are using the search box on a subject, we have all been new to the forum at one time so you are not alone in feeling a little lost and bewildered.

best wishes,

Ian

Hello Grace and welcome ! Im really glad you decide to join us,Ian and David taught me how use all the stuff on the site, if you click on my name it will tell you about me,  this is my first time on a forum so I didnt have a clue, one thing I didnt know was if there is a line under the word friends at the top of your page when you sign in you have to click it, i just click everything with a line under it now and when you want to read what we are writing just click on latest post and not the heading,i used to have to do a lot of scrolling when playing the word ass' game. So how are you?  ps im not sye what a tag is either.

So.  Begin again.  Always had a 'weak chest'.  Had lots of bouts of bronchitis. Had pneumonia when I was about 5 or 6. Then developed 'exercise related' asthma.  All that stopped with puberty. Was fine.

Had five children. married three times.  Divorced twice.  Not necessarily in that order.  Have lived in Cyprus (Limasol), Australia (Perth and Sydney) and France Argeles sur Mer near Colliure and Beaumont du Perigord in the Dordogne.

Started the menopause when I was 42.  Asthma came back.  Was prescribed Ventoline and Serotide puffers.  Was given Prednizone 60mg for I forget how long.  All was well and I didnt even have exasperations as my son calls themSmile.I was told I was a chronic low-grade asthmatic.

You must be getting bored by this.  I know I am!  Will try to keep it quick.

Moved to France in '02 had first exas in '07. Was told COPD.  Moved back here (Brighton) last year. Since then I have truly learnedwhat COPD is. Looks like I've run out of space. ...

Other people with lung conditions that you can meet and support each other.

Hi David,

I don't suppose we're that far away from each other, as the crow flies?  I'm down near Allonby coastline so not surprising we're both suffering the same chill winds.

English, English and English Big Smile  I know the words for probably most things in French but

can't hold a conversation.  Sort of typical 'point and shout' Englishwoman.  Of which I'm ashamed and sad.

ive always lived in Scotland, it must have been great for your kids experiencing all those cultures,

Nah not really.  There were only two, then three of em in Cyprus. They mostly grew up in Os (and as everyone knows, the Australians keep thier culture in thier yoghurt pots) Wink  And they didnt come with me to France - I was 62 when I went there so they were long gone!

my 10yr old wants us to go live in Japan (fat chance)

Geez I'm with HIM! I always wanted to go to Japan and always admired thier culture.  Yourr boy is very perceptive.

I have copd too, its a bit of a bummer at least you have all those memories now.

And Theresa you're so YOUNG. Sad I'm so sorry.

Love

Grace
