Hi

I would appreciate talking to/getting any advice /tips from people who have suffered or have cared for someone with the above two lung conditions.  My lovely dad who is nearly 80 has had both lung diseases for approx 2 years.  He also has a heart condition.  He has been poorly for the past 6 months now and it is really depressing him and my mother who is his full time carer.  Dad use to cycle 100 miles a week and was very fit and outgoing.  Now he is a shadow of his former self, barely able to get about and he feels so out of sorts.  he is on heart drugs and warfarin and inhailers.  I have set him up with weekly physio but he oftern feels too unwell to attend.  I encourage him to do little and often exercise which he tries to do when he feels up to it.

i would love to hear from anyone who suffers these conditions and if they have any suggestions or any coping stragedies which I could pass on to dad.  He sees a respiratory and heart consultant regularly but still suffers and it is so difficult to see.

I look forward to hearing from anyone out there who may be able to help.

Thanks  Lizzy
